Privacy Policy

Chrome Police ("we", "us"), operated by Tesa Labs, is built to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we handle.

Stored on your device only

Your blocklist (the sites you lock, their durations, and any active paid passes) is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local. It never leaves your device except as needed to process a payment you choose to make. We cannot read your browsing history, page content, or the sites you visit while not blocked.

Information we process for payments

When you choose to pay a fine to unlock a site, we create a checkout and store a minimal record on our backend (Cloudflare D1):

• a random checkout ID,
• the website domain you are unlocking (e.g. youtube.com),
• the plan, price, payment status, and the payment processor's transaction ID.

We do not collect or store your name, email, or card details for a purchase. Card details are entered on, and handled entirely by, our payment processor.

Information you give us voluntarily

If you contact support or submit a refund request, we store the email address, payment reference, and message you provide, solely to resolve your request.

Third parties

• Dodo Payments — processes payments. Your card data is handled by Dodo under their privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — hosts our backend (Workers and the D1 database).

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell or share your data.

Permissions and why we need them

• declarativeNetRequest — to block a locked site by redirecting it to our block page.
• storage — to save your locks and passes on your device.
• tabs — to show the active site's remaining lock time on the toolbar badge.
• offscreen — to play the siren sound.
• host access — to apply the block on the sites you choose to lock.

Retention & your choices

Payment records are kept for accounting, fraud-prevention, and support. You can clear all on-device data by removing the extension, and you can request deletion of payment/support records by emailing hello.tesalabs@gmail.com.

Children

Chrome Police is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "effective" date above.
